Who We Serve
La Conexion Workshop is currently serving historically underserved youth in Central Florida. Our focus extends to students in grades 6-12 (ages 10-17) and young adults aged 18 through 21. We conduct workshops in community centers and Title One schools, providing a safe and creative recording environment. Our mission is to work with youth who have historically lacked direction and resources, offering them meaningful outlets to express and explore their life experiences while potentially gaining career development opportunities.
Our Programs
Our studio camps equip our participants to express themselves creatively through music, writing, and spoken word with Hands-on practice sessions in the studio with guidance from professional mentors.

Studio Day Camp
Individual Workshop
Students learn the importance of Collaboration and Feedback: Collaboration is a vital aspect of the music industry. The workshops create an environment where participants
can collaborate with other songwriters and producers. They will learn how to give and receive constructive feedback, refine their ideas, and work together to create better songs and productions.
Students learn Audio Production Skills: The workshops aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to produce high-quality audio recordings. They will learn about recording techniques, audio editing, and mixing. Participants will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard software and equipment.
Accessible mentorships are crucial for historically underserved youth as they provide essential guidance, support, and opportunities that these young individuals might not otherwise receive. Our Mentorship helps bridge gaps in resources and networks, fostering personal and professional growth. By offering tailored advice and encouragement, our mentors empower underserved youth to overcome barriers, build confidence, and pursue their ambitions. This not only enhances their individual potential but also contributes to greater equity and diversity in various fields, ultimately creating a more inclusive society.
Mentorship
Our Weekly After-School Mentorship Studio Workshops, centered around songwriting and collaboration, are designed not only for skill development but also to generate positive social and mental health outcomes.
